Hello, my name is Sammy! I came to CAHS when my owner was no longer able to care for me. Since my arrival, I’ve been a bit nervous of new humans. Don’t worry, though-I’ve peacefully coexisted and enjoyed scratches in my previous home. With patience, I’ve made friends with the staff and a few volunteers here. Once I learn to trust you, I am such a love, rubbing up on you and enjoying some good pets. I prefer to come to you on my own terms and can get overwhelmed by multiple people or fast movements.
My ideal new home would be calm, quiet, and free of children to ensure my best success. I would also prefer a home without dogs, as they might be too much for me at first. However, I could possibly enjoy a home with another confident cat. If you are willing to offer me patience and love, and can accommodate multiple meet-and-greets if needed, I believe that I will become the companion you’ve been looking for.
