Meet Toaster!
I’ve had a rough start in life, but I’m ready for a fresh beginning! I came to CAHS after being left behind in my previous home, so my past is a bit of a mystery. What I do know is that I love people and other dogs! That said, I can be a bit bouncy and goofy—I play with enthusiasm, which might be a little too much for smaller children or dogs who prefer a gentler approach.
I previously lived in a home with cats, though it’s unclear how much interaction we had since I spent time in a separate area. The staff here joke that I must be part Jack Russell because of my endless energy and springy jumps!
I’m almost completely housebroken and working hard on my leash manners. You’ll also notice that I’m missing one eye—the vet isn’t sure whether I was born this way or if something happened along the way. It doesn’t bother me at all, but a visit to an eye specialist in the future may be a good idea.
If you’re looking for a playful, loving, and resilient companion, I might be the perfect match for you! Come meet me—I’d love to find my forever home!
