January Animal Care Team Update

We all hope you had a good holiday! We have definitely been very busy over the last few weeks. We completed 78 adoptions in December alone! In terms of animal care, we’d like to send a special shout out to one animal in particular, Bud. Bud was one of three dogs we received from a hoarding situation. We were able to rescue these hoarded animals in conjunction with the Stratham Animal Shelter. Maggie and Chief, the other two dogs we received, found forever homes in December. With these adoptions, we have spent January appreciating Bud’s company.

Bud holds a special place in our hearts. She was by far the most nervous and shut down out of all three rescued dogs. She loves the company of other dogs, however, so we require that she get adopted into a family with another dog. Bri, one of our teammates, recently took Bud home for a couple of overnights. During these overnights, Bri saw a different, more relaxed side of Bud. We hope Bud will continue to heal here at CAHS and find her forever when the time is right.
