Purr-fect Christmas: Cats with Leukemia Find Forever Homes

Cat siblings Bucky and Aries were surrendered to CAHS in July. Unfortunately, during their vet check, both cats tested positive for feline leukemia (FeLV+). Although FeLV+ cats can live happy lives, they can have shortened lifespans and face additional medical concerns. They also face the possibility of not being adopted because of human misunderstandings and fears about this illness.

This dynamic duo were two of the friendliest cats we’ve ever had! They got along so well that staff set them up together in a viewing room originally intended for adopters to meet dogs. They certainly loved having the extra space! It took five months, but they were finally adopted together. Their new owners quickly fell in love with them, and the rest is history!
